Bringing Americans together by bringing together the two most American foods.

 

Insight.

During a time when everything seemed to be pushing Americans further apart, Chevrolet – America’s favorite car company – decided to bring them together. 

We looked to our past and leveraged a classic Chevy commercial, featuring a jingle about the things Americans love most: Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet. 

The idea was born: Let’s bring people together, by bringing these ingredients together. Introducing the first-ever Apple Pie Hot Dog. 

Bringing two unexpected dishes together – apple pie and hot dogs – is no simple feat. We needed someone with a flair for food mashups. We enlisted celebrity chef Guy Fieri to help perfect the recipe, then put out TikTok recipe videos teaching people everywhere how to make their own. 

The campaign had a carefully orchestrated content cadence that kept the conversation going.

The Apple Pie Hot Dog is deeply rooted in the Chevy brand thanks to the “Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet” jingle. No other brand could do it.
